INTEGRATED SYSTEMS (Net Zero Systems)
Integrated Systems are a combination of more than one renewable energy source. For example: If you combine a PV system with a Geothermal system. If the system are designed, installed and maintained at optimum (size and capacity) you can have a Net Zero system. A Net Zero system is a system that does not cost anything to run. The PV system created the energy (electricity) to run the heat pump in a Geothermal system.
Featured here is the Parker family in Brattleboro that have combined Solar Hot Water, Solar PV, and Geothermal systems for a Net Zero system.
